Full body treatment that uses a range of massage to assist repair of damage to muscles tendons and joints from everyday use.
Deep Tissue, Sports
A strong, deep massage which locates and dissolves muscle tension. Great for muscle spasms, neck, shoulder or back pain. Can be tailored to concentrate on the muscles relevant to your sport/activity or problem area. Deep tissue massage can sometimes cause soreness during and for a short period after treatment but this is all part of the natural healing process. Sports massage focuses on the area of the body that is in the greatest use for that particular person.
A gentle and soothing manipulation of the muscles. Swedish massage promotes relaxation, improves circulation and relieves stress and tension by calming sensory nerves.
Bowen Therapy / Fascial Kinetics
The Bowen move gently pulls apart a glued or stuck connective tissue called fascia, which surrounds and connects to every structure throughout the body. This allows fluid to flow back into the dehydrated tissue (which can be stiff, dry and often painful).
By restoring the hydration of the fascia, the wellness of the body is restored on many levels, which enables blood to circulate more freely, nerve impulses to be transmitted without impairment, restores optimal function to the underlying muscles, joints and tendons, as well as improving lymphatic function.
This increased fluid also acts as a lubricant, which can reduce inflammation and pain, and improve mobility.
It is important for Clients to drink adequate quantities of water after a Bowen treatment to ensure the effectiveness and long lasting results of the treatment.
Reflexology is based on the principle that all parts of the body are reflected on specific areas of the feet.
A combination of pressure techniques are used on these reflex points, in order to restore balance from the ground up.
