Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What happens when I visit the clinic?

On arrival for your initial consultation, you will be asked by our friendly reception staff to fill out some details about yourself. Your physiotherapist will undertake a thorough assessment to learn as much about your injury to aid in diagnosing your condition. Your physiotherapist will ask you specific questions regarding your injury and also questions regarding your general health and lifestyle. Your physiotherapist will then undertake a physical assessment specific to the information provided. Once all this information has been obtained your physio will discuss with you your diagnosis, most appropriate treatment to resolve your complaint, time frame, and assist in preventing future recurrences.

How long is an appointment?

The length of appointments will vary, but will probably be anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour. In order for your physio to conduct an assessment and perform treatment, it is likely that you will be asked to remove some clothing. Your dignity will be respected at all times but if you feel at all uncomfortable you should tell the physiotherapist immediately.
